ABOUT SAOLTA
Saolta is a Global Citizenship Education strategic partnership
programme between Irish Aid and a consortium of leading organizations,
including AONTAS, Concern Worldwide, Irish Rural Link, Maynooth
University, and Cork Education and Training Board. Saolta’s mission
is to increase the accessibility, quality, and impact of Global
Citizenship Education in the adult and community education sector.
ROLE OVERVIEW
TITLE: Programme Officer
LOCATION: Hybrid – Drogheda (minimum *%

As a Programme Officer, you will play a key role in implementing
Saolta’s *– * work
plan. You’ll work collaboratively with a skilled team to deliver
innovative programmes, cultivate partnerships, and drive meaningful
engagement within the adult and community education sector.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* PROGRAMME IMPLEMENTATION:
Contribute to planning, monitoring, and reporting on programme
outcomes. Facilitate workshops and events, ensure donor reporting, and
maintain M&E and CRM systems.
* LEADERSHIP IN ACTION:
Support the development and execution of strategic goals, policy
submissions, and innovative programme elements like Tutor Education,
Training of Trainers, and showcase events.
* PARTNERSHIP DEVELOPMENT:
Build relationships with strategic stakeholders and consortium
partners while deepening alliances in Global Citizenship Education.
* PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT:
Strengthen Saolta’s public profile through events, communications,
and online/offline engagement.
* FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT:
Support financial reporting and risk management in collaboration with
the Finance Officer.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
* Master’s degree (or equivalent) in International Development,
Community Development, Adult Education, or related fields.
* 3+ years’ experience in international development or adult and
community education.
* Expertise in facilitating Global Citizenship Education workshops.
* Familiarity with the adult and community education sector in
Ireland.
